Vision process begins with listening

Community volunteers and leaders looked at best practices in community engagement and worked with local experts to create a custom process for the Wichita region. It began with an important commitment to hear from as many voices as possible.

The Co-chairs and volunteer Vision Team worked with Wichita State University’s Public Policy and Management Center (WSU PPMC) on an innovative multi-step community listening process. This process included focus groups with individuals and organizations, feedback and input at community events, robust social media engagement and online print surveys.
